You will conduct routine patrols and rounds, stay visible to help reduce incidents, monitor access and activity, and respond to requests with calm, clear communication. You will document security-related observations and work closely with staff and visitors, bringing an agile, reliable, and innovative approach while acting with integrity and teamwork.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, patients, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures and Allied Universal post orders, and assisting with directions and general inquiries.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, corridors, loading areas, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazardous conditions, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas, verifying identification and/or authorization as required, and reporting access concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical and/or behavioral events, alarms, and disturbances, and coordinate with site staff and responding agencies as directed.
  • Complete timely security-related reports and logs, document patrol activity and incidents, and communicate observations and status updates to supervisors and/or site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1+ years of security experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
