The Continuous Improvement Lead provides problem solving, leadership, facilitation, and communication for all departments at the Avon location.

Salary range is $85k-95k annually



Accountabilities:


  • Work closely with plant controller on setting cost savings budget goals.



  • Collaborate with plant controller on cost savings/cost deployment monthly updates.



  • Collaborates with all department shifts to ensure consistent implementation of new improved processes.



  • Assist in creation and publication of Swipeguide content for all departments.



  • Attend required CI trainings as provided by the company.



  • Scheduled meetings and reporting with Global Manufacturing Continuous Improvement Director.



  • Cross communication with global CI professional team.



  • Utilization of power BI reports for cost deployment.



  • Monitor plant KPIs and take part in problem solving for improvement possibilities.



  • Utilize CI tools to identify opportunities and facilitate continuous improvement teams/events/workshops.



  • Assist in the identification and implementation of Visual Factory Management tools for the shop floor.



  • Assists operators in problem solving and provide mentoring on the use of effective problem solving methodologies.



  • Develop employee understanding of and engagement in the effective use of continuous improvement tools to meet or exceed key performance indicators as defined by the organization.



  • Actively monitors the work areas for safety and quality hazards, makes recommendations for change, and assist in implementing change.



  • This position will follow and promote all Quality and FS procedures to ensure compliance with FSSC22000, regulatory, quality, customer, and company requirements.



  • Other duties as assigned.




Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience including leadership and CI experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent problem solving and facilitation skills.
  • Good math skills and a mechanical background are helpful for this position.
  • Must have intermediate knowledge of MSOffice.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and GMP's preferred.
  • Experience in data collection systems in current use.
  • Knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and appropriate supporting programs (e.g., cleaning, sanitation, pest management, etc.) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards and systems, including ISO22000 and ISO9001 is a plus.
