Description TEKsystems customer has an upcoming position that the main thing is someone committed to the role and ready to join full time in the future. Strong on the technical part but also someone who has great leadership and can interact really well with the customers. Interact in the appropriate way to collect information and ask the right questions. Come across as a partner to the clients. The role in the near future is more externally facing. They will be leading technical conversations. Do work but guide others on the team. Need to know where they are going with everything and the deliverables they are working towards. Understand the "what" on what is trying to be produced. Could consider candidates that aren't in leadership yet but ability to get there. Would prefer that they are able to be on site in a hybrid role a couple days/week. INCOSE certification isn't required but affiliation indicates they are talking about the same type of systems engineering. Participants or familiar with that clarifies the discipline they are looking for. Found Systems Engineering as a practice has strong roles in defense industry, medical devices, aerospace and other complex critical missions. Not a near term contract to hire so doing work as contractor right now. Top Skills Details * Experience applying systems engineering practices and knowledge in modeling system requirements and designs using a variety of techniques (e.g. SysML) and associated tools (IBM Rational ReqPro/DOORs, Cameo, SparxEA, etc.) * Systems "thinker" and can approach problems logically, iteratively, incrementally at multiple layers of abstraction * An individual who is strong at documenting and maintaining functional specifications, concepts of operations, and operational definitions in support of engineering practices * Certified as a Systems Engineer by the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) preferred Additional Skills & Qualifications Our customer is hiring a Systems Engineer to help introduce new capabilities as we influence the future of development!
