We are seeking a Medical Office Specialist to join a collaborative and patient-focused healthcare team. This role provides essential clerical and administrative support to ensure patients receive high-quality, efficient care. The ideal candidate is passionate about patient service, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and values teamwork and professionalism. What You Will Do * Manage front and/or back office functions, including patient relations, check-in/check-out, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and phone support * Maintain, file, and retrieve medical records and patient information * Collect and accurately record co-pays (cash and/or charge) and balance daily transactions in the system Qualifications * One year of experience in a medical office setting preferred * Experience with an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system highly preferred * eClinicalWorks (ECW) experience strongly preferred * Proficiency in typing and navigating computer systems Skills * Medical records software * Healthcare industry experience * EHR / EMR systems * Patient registration and scheduling * Customer service and patient data management Additional Skills & Qualifications * Energetic, dependable, and detail-oriented with strong multitasking abilities * Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively in a team environment * Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Ability to maintain a courteous and professional demeanor while working under pressure * Experience with prior authorizations, procedure scheduling, or radiology/medication coordination is a plus Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Kansas City, MO. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
