The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

Monmouth Medical Center is looking for a full-time Respiratory Supervisor. Under the direction of the Respiratory Care Manager; this individual plans, organizes and delegates daily activities of the Respiratory Care staff.

Qualifications:

  • AAA/AS degree preferred,
  • Eligible for NJ licensure as Respiratory Care Practitioner,
  • Certification and/or Registration by NBRC required,
  • BLS required,
  • Minimum 2-3 years clinical respiratory care practitioner experience and must be able to function independently in all critical care areas,
  • Certifications in Intubation, PALS, NRP to be obtained within the first twelve months of employment for all full and part time staff,

  • Days to work
  • Full-Time

Essential Functions:

  • Exercises supervisory authority and independent judgment in directing employee labor,
  • When delegated by Director will participate in education in-services/training for staff, patients and families,
  • Assists in the creation and implementation of department competency program/days
  • Makes recommendations regarding the ongoing performance evaluation of supervised staff and resulting actions (i,e. reward, discipline, discharge, etc)
  • Assists Director with various PI projects
  • Oversees all aspects of Blood Gas Lab
  • Assists with creation and implementation of accurate department policies and procedures,
  • Oversees all aspects of the department and functions in the absence of the Director,
  • Shares on-call coverage with Director as Director On Call for Respiratory to provide coverage 7/24,
  • Responds to all emergency codes and performs CPR as required
  • Provides appropriate in-service to patients, family, physicians, nurses and clinical employee as required
  • Maintains the department in orderly and clean condition
  • Complete all mandatory Competencies within specified timeframe,
