Pay:



  • Annual Salary of $85,000


The Senior Area Director provides leadership and oversight as the acting Designated Manager for the designated area supporting people with identified needs under Minnesota's 245D licensing standards. This role ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements while delivering high-quality, person-centered services. Essential functions include managing an area of programs, supervising, and developing staff, maintaining budgets, and staffing plans, fostering relationships with stakeholders, and driving quality assurance and training initiatives. Success in this position requires strong knowledge of 245D regulations, proven leadership experience, and the ability to balance compliance, quality, and operational efficiency.

Position Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in the field of Human Service or comparable related experience is required.
  • Knowledge in 245D requirements
  • At least five years of supervision experience in equivalent services required.
  • Knowledgeable about current trends in the field of service.
  • Driver's license required. Motor Vehicle Check (MVR) with a satisfactory driving record required.
  • Five years' work experience with similar population, including 2 years in a leadership and management position is required.
  • Experience and training in behavior management, de-escalation and negotiation
  • Able to analyze statistical and financial data.
  • Able to interpret complex laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Able to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
