Shore United Bank is seeking a full-time Manager of Branch Operations to join our team.In this role, you'll guide the Branch Operations department, keeping work flowing smoothly both within the team and across other departments. You'll play an important part in carrying out key initiatives tied to the Bank's strategic and annual operating plans, while helping ensure our branches meet all operational and regulatory requirements.You'll also oversee assigned staff, collaborate closely with leaders and teams across the organization, and provide regular management reporting. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, improving processes, and supporting teams in delivering excellent service.

Essential Functions Include:



  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the branch operations area.
  • Oversee the development and introduction of new products and services.
  • Develops, recommends and implements operating policies and procedures for branches; reviews and updates policies and procedures as necessary; answers questions regarding operating policies and procedures; coordinates policies and procedures with Operations, Compliance, Training and other departments.
  • Oversee programs such as Core Systems, Gift Cards, Check Ordering, Medallion Stamps, and Branch Cash orders through Federal Reserve.
  • Provides support in organization of files and projects.
  • Resolves day to day operational issues, coordinating with other departments on major issues and escalating concern when appropriate.
  • Defines problems/opportunities; collects and interprets data; draws valid conclusions and implements solution; escalate issues to appropriate department and monitory resolution.
  • Promotes an environment and culture to support and improve sales and referral activities to meet overall Affiliate defined goals that correspond with the Shore Bancshares' goals.
  • Identifies and responds to opportunities to communicate affiliates products and services to promote the image of the affiliate and the promote Shore Bancshares' community of companies' products and services to potential customers and referring those customers to the proper personnel.
  • Manage coordination of specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with other departments in order to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.
  • Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace.
  • Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; compiles information as necessary or as directed and provides data to appropriate bank personnel.
  • Responds to inquiries relating to his/her particular area, requests from customers or other bank personnel, etc., within given time frames and within established policy.
  • Demonstrates compliance awareness by completing all required regulatory and compliance training (e.g., BSA, CRA, ECOA) on or before deadlines, and actively supporting all policies, procedures, and practices that promote risk management, safety, and regulatory adherence.
  • Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Bank's compliance with all regulatory requirements, e.g., Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act, SAFE Act, etc.; ensures that the office and all personnel adhere to the same.
  • Participates in required training sessions, including training for compliance with BSA/AML policies and procedures.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:



  • Full-time.
  • Exempt.
  • Days of Work: Monday-Friday.


Required Education and Experience:



  • High school diploma/GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of four years' experience in banking
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a management or supervisory function


Compensation:



  • The pay range for this position is $59,850 to $95,000 annually.
  • Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on factors such as relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, licensure requirements and/or skill level, and will be finalized at the time of offer.
