Clinical Social Worker

We are seeking a Clinical Social Worker to provide direct psychological, social, and practical care to a designated caseload of patients and families. Responsibilities include conducting social work assessments, identifying problems, setting goals, and implementing care plans. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes, making referrals to outside agencies and ensuring continuity of care. Coverage during absences, vacancies, and on-call duties is also required.

Qualifications:




  • Education: Master of Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.



  • Knowledge:



    • Understanding of biopsychosocial and cultural aspects of clinical social work.
    • Familiarity with social work practices, procedures, and organizational objectives.
    • Proficient knowledge of community resources and the current healthcare environment.
    • Ability to gather and synthesize relevant data for informed patient care decisions.



  • Skills:



    • Excellent oral and written communication for professional interaction with staff, patients, and families.
    • Proficiency in delivering social work services, particularly in mental health/healthcare settings.
    • Strong analytical skills to assess patient needs, develop treatment plans, and implement interventions.
    • Capability to identify barriers to care and propose recommendations for improvement.



  • Licensure: Must hold a Maryland LMSW license or be licensed in another state with comparable qualifications and meet the Maryland Board's requirements.



  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical social work experience, preferably in a mental health/healthcare setting (internship experience may be considered).

Salary Range: Minimum 32.40/hour - Maximum 42.94/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
