DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Toxicology Intern, you will gain hand-on experience in the field of toxicology by assisting with various tasks, including data analysis and health assessments. You will also have the opportunity to learn about important toxicological concepts and their application in human health risk assessment. Additionally, you may be involved in the creation and presentation of reports and visualizations using software such as Microsoft Excel, RStudio, and Adobe Creative. This internship will provide valuable skills and knowledge that can be applied to future career opportunities in the field of toxicology.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • This is a part-time internship beginning in May or June of 2026. The internship is expected to last 3 to 6 months, with potential for extension.
  • Work hours are flexible with a maximum of 20 hours per week.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Internship Requirements:

  • You must be currently enrolled FULL-TIME in a bachelor's degree program or higher.
  • You must be a Pennsylvania resident or currently enrolled at a Pennsylvania college or university.
  • You must be in good academic standing (as defined by a GPA of 2.0 or higher).
Additional Requirement:
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
