Responsibilities

Since 1987, Laurel Ridge Treatment Center has been the premier provider of specialized behavioral health and addictive disease services in San Antonio and South Texas. Our 330-bed facility is one of the largest freestanding psychiatric hospitals in the United States. Set on a therapeutic 29-acre campus in north central San Antonio, Laurel Ridges serves as the setting for the treatment for children, adolescents, young adults, adults, veterans and military personnel. Laurel Ridge's comprehensive programs treat disorders such as bipolar disorder, psychological trauma, PTSD, depression and anxiety, mental illnesses and addictive disease disorders such as alcoholism, drug addiction and substance abuse.

Position Summary: Maintainsclinical oversight of mental health professionals ensuringoptimumperformance while delivering high quality services.The position develops and implements clinical programming across the facility using evidenced-based practices and culturallyappropriate approachesthat are strength-based. TheClinical Directoris expected tofacilitatesupervision using a team-based philosophy and is a key member of the management team maximizing facility effectiveness and sustainability.

Ability to maintain patient records and confidentiality

Excellent understanding of professional boundaries/relationships with staff and patients

Must understand the needs of patients aged 3 through 18

Qualifications

Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Overall direction and responsibility for the clinical programs -Military

Ensuresthat clinical programs meet or exceed agency, license, and organizational standards.

Identifies,facilitates, andmonitorsclinical program operations that are culturally diverse.

Overall direction and responsibility for supervision of clinical staff.

Effectivelyrepresentsthe hospital within the community, with professional organizations,consumersand payers.

Ensures thatqualityand appropriateness of programs are reviewed and corrected as needed on a regular basis.

Maintains staff performance evaluations and performance improvement activities.

Ensures that Policies and Procedures are implemented in an accurate and expedient manner.

Engages in interviews, hiring process, performanceappraisalsand constructive discipline as needed.

Performs other duties as assigned/required by this position.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: LMSW, LCSW or LPC.

EDUCATION: Master's degree in Social Work, Masters Degree in Counseling or Psychology
