Description

Under the direction of a Lead or Supervisor, perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled duties involved in the cleaning and repair of parts for Amada machines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



  • Ability to operate a forklift, overhead crane, tools, and use of chemicals.
  • Properly mask machined surfaces of all automation machine components.
  • Ability to clean and prep all large frames for automation machines.
  • Correctly hang parts on paint racks before entering the paint booth.
  • Ability to walk, bend, push, pull, and lift repetitively during working hours.
  • Knowledge of proper storage and disposal methods.
  • Knowledge of safety practices associated with tools and work practices utilized to perform the primary duties.
  • Knowledge of the methods of preparing different surfaces for painting, including bare surfaces as well as previously painted surfaces.
  • Ability to perform maintenance on equipment as required for primary duties.
  • Ability to operate air compressors, high-pressure air guns, sanders, painting equipment, and hand tools needed to perform primary duties with minimal direction from supervisor.
  • You may be required to climb using a safety harness, forklift cage, or ladder up to 16'.
  • May be required to work beyond regular business hours when necessary.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to reach overhead and above the shoulders.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers for hand cleaning equipment and tools.


NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



  • Demonstrate commitment to an injury-free environment by actively participating in company safety programs.
  • Comply with all aspects of the corporate environmental, health and safety program.


SKILLS:



  • Knowledgeable in use of hand tools and air tools; willing to work and can follow work instructions; physically lift 15-25 lbs.; related work experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to identify and complete needed tasks without direct supervision.
  • Understand and follow oral and written directions; prepare reports of work performed as well as logging in all daily work performed using a computer or tablet.
  • Methods, procedures, equipment and tools of the trades as they relate to assigned area.
  • Methods of preparing a variety of surfaces for painting and finish work
  • Maintain routine records.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:



  • $21/HR
  • Schedule is 4/10
  • Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 5:00pm

  • Supervisor
  • Lead

  • None


KNOWLEDGE:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
