MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. College degreeand/orcompletion of an accredited program in electronic drafting

EXPERIENCE:

1. Five years' experience in electronic drafting.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

EXPERIENCE:

1. Training or experience in the use of AutoCAD

2. Experience in construction drafting.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position.They are not intended to be constructed as an all-inclusive list of all responsibilities and duties.Other duties may be assigned.

1. Provides a variety of drafting functions in support of WVUH and PDC personnel especially Project Managers in support of WVUH/PDC renovations and improvement projects in accordance with WVUH and PDC policy and procedures as monitored by supervision.

2. Compiles information, performs calculations, records drawing information in the department computer database on a daily basis.

3. Verifies and checks the accuracy of all data entered on a daily basis and identifies problems and resolves issues in a timely and efficient manner.

4. Produces a variety of drawings including sketches and presentation style of architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings.

5. Monitors and maintains as-built/record documentation of construction/ renovation projects.

6. Maintains PDC drafting standards including, drawing symbols, lines, layering, colors, annotations, etc.

7. Provides field verification and measurement of building systems and site-related systems.

8. Converts variety of electronic drawings/graphic files to the PDC drawing standards.

9. Maintains hard copy drawing files in support of WVUH and PDC personnel especially for Project Managers in support of WVUH/PDC renovations and improvement projects in accordance with WVUH and PDC policy and procedures as monitored by supervision.

10. Produces hard copy prints of any PDC electronic drawing.

11. Maintains flat file and archived drawings/documentation including at least annual updates of all buildings and all systems.

12. Maintains index to archived drawings on at least an annual basis including hard copy and electronic versions.

13. Assists in providing graphic functions in support of WVUH/PDC graphics/ signage in accordance with WVUH and PDC policy and procedures as monitored by supervision.

14. Prepares layout drawings for WVUH/PDC graphics/signage

15. Assures timely and efficient installation and maintenance and exterior signage including comprehensive field reviews and report of all signage at least once per month.

16. Maintains WVUH/PDC graphic standards for signage including drawings, databases,vinyls, etc.

17. Identifies favorable quality and quantity opportunities and initiates actions for realization.

2. Ability to field-measure all types of building systems including climbing ladders and construction site conditions.
