A Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CIS) Clinician 2 is a capable clinician, focused on expanding knowledge and skills. Consistently provides effective direct care, as part of the interdisciplinary team, to a variety of complex patients. Manages care and implements treatment plans at a refined skill level in collaboration with patients, their families, physicians and other members of the health care team. Seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice. Assumes a beginning leadership role but seeks mentoring in this process. Demonstrates consistent application and knowledge of adult and pediatric procedural protocol while supporting the lab in a scrub, circulator, and/or monitor role. Consistently demonstrates all characteristics expected of Clinician 1 Responsible for performing specialized technologist roles within the invasive cardiovascular procedure setting. Operates specific high technology equipment under the direction of a qualified physician to assist with procedures performed on patients which lead to the diagnosis and treatment of congenital and acquired heart and peripheral vascular disease. Ensures imaging system for procedures is appropriately operated under the direct supervision of an authorized physician user of radiation emitting imaging equipment. Proper radiation and equipment safety standards are consistently met. Assists lab team with management of critical care and other complex patients. In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned. . MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Graduate of an accredited formal medical education program such as CVT, EMT, Paramedic, Radiography, Respiratory Therapy, Sonography, or Associate's Degree or greater in a Health Sciences related field. Radiography Technician preferred. Experience: Clinical patient care experience, 2 years or more strongly preferred. Licensure: Maintains certifications in ACLS. Preparing for certification in PALS, with manager discretion. If grandfathered at Clinician 2, there is a 6-month window to meet ACLS requirement. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Job requires sitting/standing for prolonged periods and frequently bending/stooping/walking, reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive); Repetitive motion (computer keyboard). Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 50-100lbs. Ability to wear lead aprons for extended periods of time. May be exposed to chemicals, cold, dust, noise, radiation, blood/body fluids/infectious disease. The starting base rate for this role is $33.27 hourly.
