Description and Requirements

The intern will assist in understanding root cause for key customer Quality issues, help to develop corrective actions, drive continuous improvements, and establish MFG control and reporting processes.

The intern will be responsible to help with specific Customer Process and Product Quality elements such as:

  • Process mapping, pFMEA, target setting, and on-going monitoring for their assigned products from product introduction to product withdrawal.
  • Working with both the local and global Quality, Test, and Supplier Engineers to improve systems, products, and supplier quality against established targets.
  • Analyzing test logs, Failure Analysis reports, and supplier 8D reports.
  • Working with the WW QE team to develop and drive global initiatives.
  • Supporting other WW QE's efforts at your home mfg. site.
  • Supporting customer requests and audit needs as required.
  • Participating in Customer First Article Reports (FAI's) with the overall team.
  • Coordinating Supplier Sorting efforts, Onsite Supplier visits, and Supplier Quality within your product set.
