Job Summary (Primary function):

The Associate Director, Communications & Patient Advocacy, U.S., is a member of the U.S. IAI business unit team, with functional reporting to the Senior Director, Communications & Patient Advocacy, U.S.

This role is responsible for management and hands-on execution of integrated internal and external communications and patient advocacy initiatives across Incyte's U.S. dermatology and inflammation & autoimmunity (IAI) portfolio, including atopic dermatitis (AD), vitiligo and hidradenitis suppurativa (HS).

The Associate Director will lead the development and execution of disease and brand communications and advocacy strategies, build and sustain strong relationships with patient advocacy organizations and ensure the patient voice is meaningfully integrated into Incyte's U.S. IAI business. This role partners closely with U.S. commercial, medical, regulatory, legal and corporate communications colleagues.

Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities):

Public Relations/External & Corporate Communications

* Lead the development and execution of U.S. communication strategies for marketed dermatology/IAI brands and pipeline assets including launch preparation, disease awareness and lifecycle management, in support of business objectives and company reputation.

* Drive integrated communications plans across AD, vitiligo and HS, ensuring alignment across brands, disease areas and the broader Incyte corporate narrative in the U.S.

* Support and amplify strategic messages and enhance awareness and understanding of Incyte's dermatology/IAI portfolio among U.S. external stakeholders, including media, physicians, patients, caregivers and advocates.

* Develop, manage and oversee the review process for U.S. external communications materials, including press releases, fact sheets, Q&As, videos, web content and social media assets, in collaboration with legal, regulatory and medical partners.

* Provide strategic counsel and proactive issues management and reputation risk mitigation for U.S. brands and disease areas, working cross-functionally to anticipate and address emerging risks and opportunities.

* Partner with agency teams to develop and execute U.S. communications campaigns, manage timelines and budgets, and ensure high-quality, compliant deliverables.

* Measure and report program performance and insights to internal stakeholders, using data and learnings to continuously improve communications effectiveness.

Patient Advocacy & Community Engagement

* Develop and execute U.S> patient advocacy strategies across dermatology/IAI, with a focus on AD, vitiligo and HS, aligned with brand objectives, disease education priorities and patient needs.

* Serve as a primary U.S. point of contact for dermatology-focused patient advocacy organizations; build and sustain strong, credible relationships with executive leadership, staff and board members of patient advocacy groups.

* Identify, evaluate and activate appropriate U.S.-based partnerships with advocacy organizations, including disease awareness initiatives, education programs, community engagement and policy-related efforts, as appropriate.

* Work cross-functionally within Incyte to identify unmet needs, insights and collaboration opportunities relevant to U.S. patient advocacy groups at the national and local level.

* Conduct landscape assessments and ongoing audits of U.S. patient organizations to understand capabilities, priorities and alignment opportunities; share insights internally to inform strategy and decision-making.

* Design and implement advisory boards, meetings, and collaborative forums that elevate U.S. patient, caregiver and community perspectives and strengthen internal understanding of lived disease experiences.

* Identify and champion opportunities to bring the voice of the patient into Incyte's U.S. dermatology/IAI strategy, communications and decision-making.

* Ensure all advocacy engagements and activities comply with applicable U.S. legal, regulatory, and company policies.

Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency):

* Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree in science, communications, health or business-related field preferred

* 8-12+ years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare-related experience, with demonstrated responsibility in communications and/or patient advocacy

* Experience in dermatology, immunology, inflammation & autoimmunity, or related therapeutic areas strongly preferred

* Demonstrated expertise in U.S> external communications, disease education and patient advocacy strategy and execution

* Strong understanding of advocacy principes and experience building productive, compliant partnerships with patient organizations

* Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence across internal and external stakeholders

* Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex scientific information into clear, compelling narratives

* Experience with corporate reputation management and issues preparedness

* Strong organizational, project management skills and prioritization skills in fast-paced environment

* High degrees of self-motivation, accountability and ability to operate independently while collaborating cross-functionally

* Experience managing agency teams and vendors and managing budgets

* Ability to work independently, jump into a fast-moving environment and absorb information quickly

* Strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment and integrity

* Travel required up to 25%
