Job Title: HVAC Mechanic

Job Summary:

Serve as an HVAC Mechanic for DAWSON's Facilities Operations, Maintenance, and Support Services contract supporting the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) at Research Triangle Park (RTP), North Carolina. The HVAC Mechanic performs maintenance, inspection, repair, and servicing of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS), applicable codes, and contract requirements.

Location: Research Triangle Park (RTP), North Carolina

Responsibilities:



  • Perform maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems serving EPA RTP facilities.
  • Support preventive maintenance inspections and corrective maintenance activities for HVAC equipment and systems.
  • Maintain and service large commercial HVAC systems and associated components.
  • Identify system deficiencies and perform repairs in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Ensure all HVAC work complies with applicable federal, state, and local codes and contract requirements.
  • Coordinate work with site management, Quality Control personnel, and Government representatives as required.
  • Document work performed in accordance with contract reporting and recordkeeping requirements.
  • Support service call response and task order execution activities.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable safety requirements and procedures.


Required Qualifications:



  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with large HVAC systems in commercial facilities.
  • State of North Carolina HVAC Heating Group 2 license.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting HVAC systems in large or complex facilities.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.



Additional Requirements:



  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain access to EPA facilities.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
