A full-time Faculty position is available in the Department of Internal Medicine; Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Final faculty rank/title will be commensurate with experience.



The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine seek pulmonologists with sleep medicine expertise and training to direct the Sleep Medicine Program at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center Campus and provide sleep medicine, and potentially Pulmonary & critical care coverage, at the Clifton and/or West Chester Campuses.



The ideal candidate would have experience working with sleep medicine fellowship programs, supporting education of pulmonary fellows, medical residents, and medical students in an academic environment. The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine is a leader at the College of Medicine in research and clinical trials, and the ideal candidate would have experience with research, clinical trials, or original academic contributions.

Essential Functions

  • As Medical Director of Sleep Medicine at UC, the faculty member will lead a team of physicians and advanced practice providers across two ambulatory practice sites and two sleep labs.
  • Pulmonary faculty at UCMC are expected to contribute to ambulatory and hospital-based care, maintain active engagement in our education and training missions and participate in quality improvement, safety and research projects. New faculty will join an experienced team of pulmonologists.

Minimum Requirements

  • MD, DO, MD/PhD, or equivalent degree.
  • Ohio medical license.
  • Completion of ACGME-approved residency in Internal Medicine, Psychiatry, Family Medicine, or Neurology (3 years).
  • Completion of ACGME-approved Fellowship in Sleep Medicine (1 year).
