Location: HF Providence Southfield & HF Providence Novi Status: Full-Time | Rotating Schedule: Team Covers 24/7/365, Shifts are 6a-630p, with not rotation 6p-630a. Setting: 95% Adult, if pediatric - stabilize and transfer | 100% inpatient and ED consults/trauma activations Call/Weekends: Yes - Weekend, 1 in 3-4 weekends. No - Call. Position Overview: For a full-time Trauma Surgery APP position, this role is 100% inpatient and ED-based, covering trauma activations and consults with minimal OR involvement and potential for bedside procedures depending on candidate qualifications. The APP trauma team responds to all trauma activations in the ED, completes inpatient rounding, and serves as the primary team for trauma ICU patients. Candidates must be ATLS certified with a minimum of two years of acute trauma care experience, including direct management of ICU patients; new graduates will not be considered. The APP works collaboratively with trauma surgeons and the APP trauma team to deliver top-notch care for all trauma patients. Qualifications:
Education & Training * Nurse Practitioner (NP): Completion of a Nurse Practitioner program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) * Physician Assistant (PA): Completion of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) Licensure * Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of Michigan. Certification * NP: National certification by a certification body recognized by the State of Michigan (e.g., ANCC, AANP) * PA: Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Required Certifications
