ROLE OVERVIEW:

This is a seasonal position, you can use your winters off to travel, hunt, fish or for other activities you enjoy while your benefits continue year round.

To maximize bituminous plant production through monitoring equipment operation and performing preventative maintenance.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES (summary of components that make up the job)



  1. Perform daily equipment, walk around and site inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained
  2. Safely and properly perform maintenance and start up of Blacktop Plant
  3. Monitory blacktop production
  4. Verify blacktop meets specifications
  5. Monitor oil consumption of blacktop plant
  6. Complete daily progress reports
  7. Shovel excess material away from plant
  8. Fill silo
  9. Tear down and set up blacktop plant
  10. Calibrate blacktop plant
  11. Assist with repairs
  12. Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written); Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations & act courteous/respectful of others.
  13. Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.).
  14. Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisor.
  15. Ensure MSHA, OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance. Good housekeeping skills. Lockout/Tagout.
  16. Performs other duties as assigned.



    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (minimum educational, experience, or other relevant job requirements)



    1. General education, grammar and arithmetic. GED or high school diploma or equivalent
    2. Mechanical & electrical experience
    3. Ability to provide and maintain proper licensure, medical card and acceptable driving record
