THE ROLE:

You will be part of asmall, but dedicatedteam driving discrete GPU products' performance attainmentsolutionsacross hardware,softwareandtheplatform.The main tasks will be performance analysis of gaming workloadsand building/maintaininga framework of tools thatfacilitateperformance analysis.

You have good communication and analytical/problem-solving skills.

You are a self-starter who can workindependently butworks toward making the overallproductsuccessful.

You should have good analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in constantly making things stronger, better, faster.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Utilize your professional experience in CPU and GPU architecture, programming, and workload or data analysis to address a variety of tasks, including conducting performance and power analyses on workloads, as well as developing tools to support such assessments.

  • Adapt quickly to newarchitecturesand contribute to the rapid deployment of new products by ensuringoptimalperformance during their introduction

  • Identifyand resolve root causes of performance regressions, whether related to performance or power features, collaboratingwith relevant teams to implement solutions.

  • Engage with forward-looking hardware teams to ensure that any issues discovered in silicon are addressed in future designs.

  • Lead orparticipatein cross-functional performance debugging efforts, and perform comprehensive analyses, breakdowns, and comparisons of workload performance.

  • Generate and evaluate performance data on new GPU hardware to support ongoing product improvement.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Previousexperiencewith performance analysis and optimization

  • Strong knowledge ofCPU/GPUarchitectures

  • Previousexperience visualizing or analyzing dataaredesirable.

  • Good programming skills: preference for Python.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • 10-15yearsrelatedwork experience in aandminimumBS degree inEE and CS/CE or ECE degree(s)arerequired.

LOCATION:

Austin, TX; but would consider Santa Clara, CA; Fort Colins, CO
