Job Description

The Manager - Technology is a hands-on, experienced technical role responsible for supporting all aspects of technology for Wilson Warbirds, including business operations, stadium technology, and game-day systems. This role ensures stability, security, and effectiveness of all IT services while serving as the primary escalation point for technical issues and systems planning.

Working closely with a third-party technology consultant, the Manager - Technology serves as an on-site owner of technology strategy, implementation and day-to-day operations for Wilson Warbirds. The role acts as a liaison between internal staff and external vendors, assisting with troubleshooting, coordination, and execution of technology related projects.

Core duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

    Serve as the primary owner of all technology and information systems supporting front office operations, stadium facilities, and game-day activities. This includes driving continuous improvement and supporting the organization's mission both on and off the field, especially during game-day activities and special events.
  • Provide all levels of technical support to end users and act as the final escalation point for complex hardware, software, printers, telephony, network, POS, and A/V system issues, in coordination with vendors, external support resources, and third-party consultants.
  • Assisting and reviewing technology vendors and contracts for data privacy.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, licensing, and access controls across all systems to ensure security, compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Partner closely with third-party technology consultants to support cybersecurity best practices, including endpoint security, patch management, data protection, and staff awareness.
  • Collaborate with third-party technology consultants to plan, implement, maintain, and improve IT infrastructure and systems, including coordinating support efforts, projects, and troubleshooting.
  • Set up, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Support and prepare technology systems for games, special events, and non-baseball events, including on-site troubleshooting and after-hours/game-day support.
  • Manage, configure, and troubleshoot both wired and wireless networking systems throughout the stadium.
  • Manage, configure, and troubleshoot firewall devices to ensure security best practices, including routing, DNS, and other services provided by security appliances.
  • Manage, configure, and troubleshoot IP-based video distribution systems.
  • Work closely with Baseball Technology Operations staff to ensure baseball-related systems are fully operational and to plan future upgrades and installations.
  • Manage, configure, and troubleshoot building systems, including HVAC controls, security camera systems, and door access control systems.
  • Manage, configure, and troubleshoot ticketing platform hardware, including ticket printers and computers.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and five or more years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

A minimum of five years of experience with Microsoft Windows OS, MAC OS computer hardware, application software, managing computer networks and infrastructure is required. A minimum of three years of experience supporting A/V equipment is also required.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.

Work Hours

Business hours are Monday - Friday 9 am - 5pm, however, additional hours may be required on weekends, evenings and some holidays. Additional hours may be required as part of an on-call, game day support, or certain events to cover some weekends, evenings, and holidays throughout the year.
