Overview

Position Summary

Cincinnati Asphalt is seeking an experienced Lowboy Driver with heavy haul experience to transport construction equipment and materials safely and efficiently between job sites, plants, and yards. This role supports asphalt paving, milling, and construction operations and requires a strong focus on safety, compliance, and teamwork.



Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

    Safely operate lowboy trailers to transport heavy construction equipment (pavers, rollers, skid steers, excavators, milling machines, etc.)
  • Load, secure, transport, and unload equipment in compliance with DOT and company safety standards
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of tractor, trailer, and cargo
  • Coordinate with dispatch, plant personnel, and field crews for timely deliveries and pickups
  • Maintain accurate logs, permits, and required documentation
  • Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies
  • Assist with yard moves and other hauling duties as needed
  • Represent Cincinnati Asphalt professionally at job sites and customer locations


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Valid CDL Class A license
  • Lowboy / equipment hauling experience required
  • Heavy haul or oversize/overweight load experience preferred
  • Clean driving record (or insurable under company standards)
  • Knowledge of proper load securement techniques
  • Ability to safely load and unload equipment
  • Strong safety mindset and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in asphalt, paving, or construction environments
  • Familiarity with local and regional routes
  • Ability to obtain or maintain oversize/overweight permits
  • Basic mechanical knowledge for inspections and minor troubleshooting
