The role

Our Le Sueur, MN team is looking to add a dependable, hands-on CDL Driver to the Warehouse team; someone who's just as comfortable making deliveries and transporting Agropur products between locations as they are rolling up their sleeves to help load and unload cargo back at the plant.

This role is a huge part of keeping operations moving smoothly day-to-day and is perfect for someone who enjoys variety in their work, takes pride in doing things safely and efficiently, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where teamwork matters.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain load manifests and all other vehicle documents, ensuring they are properly completed and balanced with truck counts and shipping documents before and after deliveries.

  • Safely operate a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment as needed.

  • Inspect company vehicle for visual defects when the vehicle is not running and operating defects when the vehicle is running; complete a daily inspection report per DOT rules.

  • Comply with all DOT hours of service and rules of the road.

  • Deliver merchandise to the appropriate location using the company vehicle; ensuring delivery receipt is signed by the receiver.

  • Prepare, stage, load and unload trucks safely and accurately.

  • Keep truck and trailer clean and swept.

  • Fill out all logs accurately and submit to the proper people.

  • Report any issues with equipment to manager or supervisor.

  • Understand and comply with all Quality Assurance policies, immediately reporting any potential food safety issues to management.

  • Keep daily truck logs.

  • Perform general maintenance of trucks.

  • Take trucks in for inspection, service and maintenance.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Adhere to our standards around the safety protocols by stopping any observed unsafe acts and obeying facility safety rules and procedures. Also need to either correct or report any observed safety hazards, as well as support all safety policies and programs.

Profile sought

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience driving a truck and backing a trailer required.

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience operating a forklift is also required.

  • Experience safely backing a trailer into a dock is required.

  • Having a good mechanical aptitude.

  • Slip Sheet Unit/Powerlift Jack operation preferred.

Required Certification/Licensure

  • Current Class A CDL with airbrake/tanker endorsement is required for this position, alongside a clean driving record.

  • Medical Examiner Certification (aka FedMed Card) to drive a semi-truck is also required.

Skillset sought

  • Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in work.

  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division), along with basic computer operational skills; must be able to input and retrieve computerized information.

  • Communicate well both verbally and in writing with managers and colleagues.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work with minimum supervision, adapting to a changing environment quickly, and ability to think independently.

  • Dedication to meet the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers; always acting with the customers in mind.

  • Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others, both at the warehouse and at customer locations, always working to maintain constructive working relationships.

  • Le Sueur Protein Research Center.

Our cheese facility produces various types of cheese, including: Cheddar, Monterey Jack, Asiago, Fontina, Parmesan and Romano. Our ingredients facility runs various whey streams, including: whey protein isolate (WPI), whey protein concentrate 34 (WPC 34), whey protein concentrate 80 (WPC 80) and both pharma and food-grade lactose.
