Position Overview

At Aurora Flight Sciences, we design, build, and fly advanced aircraft and enabling technologies from concept to reality. We are searching for a talented and self-motivated SAP S/4Hana Implementation Program Manager to help us create the future of flight. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

Responsibilities

The SAP S/4HANA Implementation Program Manager is a leadership role responsible for driving the successful end-to-end delivery of the organization's SAP S/4HANA transformation. This individual owns program execution-cost, schedule, scope, risks, staffing, vendor performance, and overall quality-while ensuring alignment between technology, business functions, and executive stakeholders. The Program Manager serves as the primary orchestrator of strategy, planning, and delivery, ultimately ensuring the solution is integrated, adopted, and achieves intended business outcomes.

Program Leadership & Governance
-Lead the full lifecycle implementation of SAP S/4HANA, including planning, mobilization, execution, cutover, and stabilization.
-Define and manage program governance, including steering committees, workstream leadership, reporting cadence, and decision-making structures.
-Develop and maintain the master integrated project plan, aligning milestones, dependencies, deliverables, and risk mitigation actions.

Cost, Schedule & Scope Management
-Own program budget, financial tracking, forecasting, and variance reporting to executive leadership.
-Ensure all workstreams deliver on time, within budget, and in accordance with defined scope and quality standards.
-Implement strong change-control processes, ensuring impacts are understood, approved, communicated, and tracked.

Vendor & Partner Management
-Manage SAP, implementation partners, system integrators, and third-party vendors to ensure accountability, performance, and delivery quality.
-Oversee contract obligations, SLAs, staffing levels, and escalation paths.
-Ensure vendor deliverables align with project timelines, technical requirements, and business priorities.

Business Integration & Functional Alignment
-Serve as the primary bridge between business leadership, functional owners, and technical teams.
-Ensure functional processes, integration points, and data flows are designed to meet business needs and support end-to-end performance.
-Drive solution validation, user acceptance strategies, business readiness, and organizational change adoption.

Risk, Issue & Quality Management
-Proactively identify program risks, issues, and dependencies; lead mitigation planning and cross-functional resolution.
-Ensure delivery quality through checkpoints, deliverable reviews, testing oversight, and cutover readiness assessments.
-Maintain clear documentation, audit readiness, and compliance with internal and external guidelines.

Team Leadership & Staffing
-Oversee multi-disciplinary project teams including internal staff, contractors, and consulting partners.
-Ensure appropriate resourcing across workstreams; resolve staffing conflicts and prioritize critical-path needs.
-Foster a high-performance culture through collaboration, communication, and accountability.

Stakeholder Communication & Change Management
-Provide clear, timely communication to executives, business leaders, and cross-functional teams.
-Support change-management efforts including training planning, communications, organizational readiness, and post-go-live support strategies.
-Translate complex technical issues into business-aligned impacts and recommendations.

Minimum Requirements

-10+ years of experience leading enterprise ERP implementations, with at least 5 years in SAP S/4HANA (preferably RISE).
-Demonstrated success managing large-scale, multi-year transformation programs with budgets >$10M.
-Strong expertise in program governance, cost management, vendor management, and cross-functional coordination.
-Deep understanding of SAP functional domains (Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, HR, etc.) and end-to-end business process integration.
-Proven ability to lead diverse teams and influence senior business and IT stakeholders.
-Exceptional communication, negotiation, and executive-level reporting skills.
-Must be US Person

Preferred Requirements

-Experience with SAP Activate methodology.
-Background in complex systems integrations, cloud migrations, and data governance.
-PMP, PgMP, Agile, or SAP-related certifications.
-Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or regulated industries.

Physical Requirements

-Ability to work on-site weekly at our Manassas, VA site

Salary Range (Annualized USD)

  • Minimum Range: $133,000.00 to $238,000.00
  • Maximum Range: $159,000.00 to $284,000.00
