Job Summary

Coordinate academic, placement, community, and remote testing services for students and test candidates at multiple campuses. The Senior Coordinator assists with hiring, training, supervising, and providing leadership to testing staff. Work collaboratively with faculty and academic affairs as well as the student services departments, such as Academic Advising, Dual Enrollment, and Accessibility Resources, to accomplish functions and responsibilities from a college-wide perspective.


Essential Duties

Assist in the hiring, training, management, and supervision of testing services staff at multiple campuses. Establish tasks for the team and receive guidance and oversight from the manager.

Manage the day-to-day activities of the team. Oversee test administration to ensure daily adherence to strict guidelines and standards set for each test, including, but not limited to, academic, community, and alternative certification testing. Resolve issues that arise during testing
to maintain confidentiality, security, and integrity of all tests, testing procedures, and student information. Document any testing irregularities or academic integrity breaches and report to appropriate authority.

Establish remote testing protocols for faculty, staff, and students regarding academic exams and placement testing. These protocols include monitoring communications from faculty and students for remote testing needs, creating schedules for remote testing, proctoring, and notating any issues to improve processes.

Act as a liaison between departments for students with specific needs or next steps in the academic process. Guide team's work to align with the organization's initiatives.

Train faculty members on academic testing submission guidelines and procedures to ensure test administration accuracy for students. Work collaboratively with others to accomplish functions and responsibilities from a college wide perspective to promote consistency in services throughout TCC.

Ensure accuracy of clerical functions and creating/maintaining training materials for the Testing Center. Order appropriate testing materials for local and community exams with accurate record keeping of funds distributed for various testing programs.


Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field

3 years of experience in Testing services, preferably in a higher education setting.

Supervisor experience.

Computer skills, ability to troubleshoot technical problems, analyze and interpret data.

Ability to interact effectively and work cooperatively with all student populations to include those with test anxiety and various physical/learning disabilities.

Ability to travel between assigned TCC Testing Centers.


Preferred Qualifications

Prefer demonstrated knowledge of creating reports and established course placement guidelines within Accuplacer.

Bilingual communications skills.

Ability to translate Spanish or other targeted languages.

Accuplacer, Pearson Vue, or other testing agency certifications.
