Position Overview

QinetiQ US is a leading defense and national security company delivering mission-led innovation for the U.S. government's most urgent challenges and needs. We draw on decades of global expertise and American ingenuity to provide advanced mission operations, space enterprise applications, engineering dominance, robotics and autonomous systems, cyber solutions, along with ISR capabilities. QinetiQ US specializes in translating complex requirements into rapid, reliable services and solutions that address multi-domain threats across land, air, sea, and space.

QinetiQ US is looking for highly skilled professionals specialized in support services to support the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)). These services will also support the (1) Under Secretary of Defense/Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (USD/DUSD(R&E)) Front Office; (2) the Offices of the Assistant Secretary of Defense (OASD) for Science and Technology (S&T), Mission Capabilities (MC), and Critical Technologies (CT); and (3) Deputy Secretary of Defense (DSD).



Responsibilities

    Experience and skills in communications, public relations, and/or journalism at the DoD and/or service component Headquarters level
  • Proficiency with social media and ability to develop and carry out social media communication strategies
  • Ability to write and create presentations quickly and meet deadlines; ability to communicate to different audiences using multiple applications
  • Ability to explain complex subject matter in compelling, plain English
  • Ability to work effectively and independently on multiple projects
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in English, Journalism, or Communications is required. Graduate degree in communications, journalism, or media, is preferred. At the discretion of the Government, four (4) years of specialized experience which includes military experience may be substituted in lieu of specific educational requirements.
  • Seven (7) years' experience in communications and public affairs..
  • Must have a Top Secret with SCI eligibility clearance for all tasks and maintain eligibility for the life of their tenure on this contract. #qinetiqclearedjob


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a communications role for another technical organization is highly desired.
