Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a
Senior Internal Aerodynamics Technical Expert to support a high-visibility program office at Air Force Life Cycle Management Center. The scope of this A&AS support contract is to provide a broad range of professional services to help the execute effective and responsive integrated program management of research, development, test, evaluation, production, modernization, lifecycle acquisition, and sustainment activities. This position will be at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Senior Internal Aerodynamics Technical Expert you will be expected to:
*Apply your knowledge and experience in engineering principles, criteria, and procedures to Air Force systems, subsystems, and equipment procurement activities, post award project/program management tasks, and acquisition programs throughout their life cycles.
*Apply your engineering knowledge and experience to organize and manage resources and personnel needed to efficiently accomplish USAF AFLCMC/WB acquisition objectives consistent with DoD 5000.02 policies and procedures.
*Assist with execution of USAF Airworthiness process per MIL-HDBK-516 and the AF Life-Cycle Systems Engineering (LCSE) and the Operational Safety, Suitability, and Effectiveness (OSS&E) processes described by AFMCI 63-2101.
*Support implementation of Air Force Integrity Programs.
*Support requirements development, allocation, and verification.
*Support and develop technical and business data necessary to build and, as required, present program briefs.
*Support program meetings, working groups, and technical and business reviews as needed.
*Analyze equipment and software performance deficiencies and make recommendations for corrective actions.
*Support development of contract and documentation changes and updates.
*Support source selections in a technical advisory role as requested.
*Work at Wright-Patterson AFB in the assigned AFLCMC/WB program office space.
This position is currently 30 hours a week. Upgrade to a full-time position may be an option.
Qualifications:
*TS/SCI Required
*20 years of relevant DoD acquisition experience
*5 years must be in a DoD acquisition program office as either a sub-system or system lead engineer within a recognized ACAT I (or equivalent) special access program office
*2 years of SAP engineering experience
*Internal aircraft aerodynamics engineering knowledge with experience on ACAT I or equivalent aircraft development programs to include: knowledge and experience with inlet/engine integration and compatibility; at least 5 years of experience developing and integrating high inlets onto low observable aircraft; and expert knowledge of development, integration, and test of aircraft inlet systems.

*ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree
