Summary CGS Administrators, LLC (CGS) is part of BCBSSC's Celerian Group of companies and provides a variety of services for Medicare beneficiaries, healthcare providers, and medical equipment suppliers in 38 states, supporting the needs of over 8.7 million Medicare beneficiaries and 103,000 healthcare professionals nationwide.

The Production Support Department at CGS is responsible for the oversight and operational stability of internally developed systems, ensuring seamless performance and reliability. This team plays a critical role in meeting business metrics by proactively identifying and mitigating potential issues before they impact operations.

This role will lead two primary functions: general production support for CGS's proprietary applications and oversight of the Mainframe Development and Production Support team.     Position Purpose:

    • Ensuring the health and stability of production systems during standard business hours.

    • Leading efforts to proactively monitor systems and implement reconciliation processes in partnership with development teams.

    • Managing and resolving user-reported problem tickets with a focus on root cause analysis and long-term preventive solutions.

    • Driving operational excellence through structured support processes, performance metrics, and service-level adherence.

    Work Environment:

    • Fast paced, multi-platformed environment which may require action and response 24X7 to support the technical business needs of the customer.

    What You'll Do:

    • Mentor and coach management team on staff management, employee development, addressing performance issues, resource planning, and strategic objectives. Promote professional growth. Provide guidance and leadership in staff and resource management, team building and training to ensure organizational effectiveness.

    • Actively participate in long-range strategic planning.

    • Manage policy development to address complex business issues.

    • Work with business unit managers and form alliances on projects, operational decisions, and scheduling requirements.

    • Define and develop project management infrastructure.

    • Manage a methodology driven quality plan.

    • Monitor and control the quality of the deliverable, as well as manage the project completion process through customer acceptance.

    To Qualify, You'll Need:

    Required Education: Bachelor's degree.

    Required Work Experience:

    • 10+ years of job-related IT experience.

    • 3 years of management experience OR 3 years equivalent military experience in grade E4 or above (may be concurrent).

    Required Skills and Abilities:

    • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.

    • Able to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.

    • Demonstrated flexibility for adapting to both changing business and client needs, and a changing technical environment.

    • Strong technical knowledge base in related area.

    • Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.

    • Demonstrated analytical and decision-making skills.

    • Excellent and effective communication, customer service and time-management skills.

    • Ability to communicate complex information with understanding to a variety of audiences who have different levels of experience and knowledge.
