Position Description: Assist in the management, evaluation, and assessment of Mechanical and Electrical systems for projects, supporting all aspects of the project life-cycle, including schedule, budget and quality.
Reports to: MEP Engineer, Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Manager
Essential Duties & Responsibilities *:
- Assist with the coordination of all activities and the exchange of information with the Turner project team, subcontractors, owner's consultants and representatives to resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
- Prepare and manage the contract items list for all components, materials, and systems to ensure that all Required On Job (ROJ) dates are in compliance with the project schedule with the appropriate approvals.
- Evaluate, submit, and track all equipment, material and shop drawing submittals and coordinate MEP work with all trades.
- Participate in Schedule Update meetings and provide the updated contract items list to ensure schedule alignment.
- Evaluate and manage the processing of Requests for Information (RFI's).
- Support budget management, including review and evaluation of all change orders.
- Facilitate the MEP Coordination Process with the VDC Engineer.
- Assist with design requirements, quality standards, and operations/maintenance compliance.
- Investigate problems and develop solutions for issues with the mechanical and electrical systems.
- Facilitate management and execution of the turnover process including start-up, testing, commissioning, closeout, operations and maintenance manuals, securing warranties and guaranties, training, as well as obtaining spare parts and specialty tools that culminate in the successful acceptance of all systems.
- Participate in regular project walkthroughs to confirm MEP work is proceeding according to contract documents, coordination drawings, and approved submittals.
- Coordinate with members of the team to develop and execute the quality control plan.

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management plus two years related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience with mechanical and electrical systems. Possess business acumen with excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational ability, and proficiency with computer applications. Demonstrate the personal attributes of a team player to support the development of a high performing team in the right environment built on trust, respect, accountability, humility, integrity, commitment, discipline, adaptability, initiative, and vision.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee works on-site at the construction worksite where the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in this work environment is usually moderate to very loud.
