The Youth ACT Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will serve our patient population in our "Assertive Community Treatment" program. This Full-Time role works with other ACT Team members with expectations that 80% of visits are in the client's home and/or in the community.

In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, this position is eligible for a $8,000 Sign on Incentive!

Pay Range: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year.



Responsibilities

    Conduct psychiatric assessments, including diagnosis, history, course of illness, and response to treatment, mental status exam.
  • Provide ongoing psychiatric care to clients, including evaluation and assessment, diagnosis, and medication monitoring.
  • Explain role of NP and medications in mental health treatment and recovery.
  • Work in collaboration with the ACT Medical Team, including Psychiatrist and RN.
  • Provide crisis assessment and management of clients, both on-site and over the phone.
  • May provide wellness activities as needed such as health monitoring, consultation with other healthcare providers, or directing nursing staff to monitor physical health circumstances and conditions.
  • Communicate and consult with teammates to shape quality practice.
  • Assist the ACT Team Leader/Clinic Director in training staff in knowledge and skills basic to treatment of persons with severe and persistent mental illness.


Qualifications

  • NYS licensed/registered NP with specialty area of Psychiatry required
  • Must have NPI number
  • National Certification through AANP or ANCC
  • Master's of Science in Nursing
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices and/or person-centered care a plus
  • Must have a valid driver's license and own transportation
    • Helio's iinsurance carrier requires that employees who drive personal vehicles for work maintain minimum auto insurance coverage limits of at least $100,000/person; $300,000/accident and that employees provide HR with proof of current minimum insurance coverage (copy of Auto Liability Insurance Declaration Page) on their first day of employment. Employees are required to provide an updated Auto Liability Insurance Declaration Page to HR by expiration date on Declaration Page.
