The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including equivalent years in rank, training, and field or discipline; internal equity; and external market pay for comparable jobs. Position Summary: The UIC ECE Department seeks tenure-track faculty committed to excellence in teaching, research, and service. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, mentoring students, and developing a strong, externally funded research program. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to inspire students, contribute to scholarly productivity, and engage with current research trends in their field. Duties & Responsibilities: The UIC ECE Department is deeply committed to providing exceptional educational and research experiences for all students. Tenured and tenure-track faculty are expected to contribute to this mission through excellence in teaching, research, and service in support of the University's mission . Faculty members prepare students for careers of leadership and innovation in ECE and related fields. Job responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, advising and mentoring students, and maintaining an active, externally funded research program that advances knowledge in the field. The successful candidate will demonstrate the enthusiasm and energy to inspire students and attract them to the department's programs, as well as a strong record-or promise-of scholarly productivity through publications, sponsored research, and supervision of graduate research. Familiarity with contemporary research directions and methods in the candidate's area of specialization is expected. Minimum Qualifications: A Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Computer Science, or a related field is required, with the degree requirements completed before the date of appointment.
