  • As Team Lead reporting to the Product Certification manager, you will support them in supervising a small, international team of Product Certification Engineers within Rockwell Automation's Sensing, Safety and Industrial Components business.
  • As a line manager, you will support the team in their development and in delivering their best work while fostering our culture of inclusion.
  • As a senior member of the team, you will work both through and alongside others to ensure completion of the product certification and compliance deliverables we rely on for market access across the globe.
  • You will work with an exciting portfolio of products ranging from small contactors to large motor controls, simple pushbuttons to advanced safety sensors.
  • You will participate in a range of product compliance related activities including: compliance assessment, design review, certification and test plan creation, documentation, and process implementation.
  • You will apply your understanding of UL/CSA, IEC/EN and other global / local standards, as well as environmental regulations like RoHS and REACH, to ensure both new products and updates to existing products meet regulatory and market requirements.
  • You will be the primary product compliance interface with domestic and third-party agencies such as UL, CSA, DEKRA, FM, and agencies for marine and hazardous environments.
  • You will support product and factory audits, witness testing, and related activities. This and other aspects of the role may require domestic and international travel from time to time.
  • You will help to shape a robust yet cost-effective approach to product compliance, joining or leading cross-functional projects, including responding to new or changing standards and requirements.
  • You will work with technology, standards and compliance teams across the company to monitor and analyze regulatory trends and positions and share information with impacted business groups.
  • You will support our strategic sourcing group and our suppliers to ensure the supply chain is positioned and responsive to support our compliance programs.

The Essentials- you will have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience.

The Preferred- you might also have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronic, Industrial or Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, with knowledge in the application of basic engineering and manufacturing principles, theories, and techniques.
  • Typically requires two years experience in management in a manufacturing / development engineering organization.
  • Experience in product and environmental compliance, electronics / EMC, testing and new product development processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written English, and confidence in communicating with external partners.
  • Experience framing and managing a high volume of ambiguous, complex or diverse work.
  • Experience using ERP / MRP business systems, particularly SAP.
  • Familiarity with industrial automation in general, and Rockwell Automation products in particular.
