Lay Health Navigator, Days

The Lay Health Navigator functions independently and is responsible to perform the business operations, which includes the establishment of community and business partners, along with the scheduling, planning and implementation of community education, screenings and events. The individual will be responsible for proposal creation, planning and implementation of large scale outreach educational events that will involve interfacing with community leaders. This individual must be willing to work a variable schedule including some weekends and evenings, and be able to travel throughout the community. Excellent communication skills, interest in public health, self-direction and compassion are required. This individual may participate in research and deliver presentations to lay and professional audiences.

Required:

• One year in community relations, marketing, public relations, social work, public health, teaching, health promotion, health behavior or health education

Desired:

• One year public speaking or health education, Ability to speak Spanish.
• Bachelor Degree
