As the CXO Reliability Manager you will provide leadership to all employees within the CVO South Plant Reliability organization. You will be directly involved with improving site reliability performance and be responsible for the long term reliability of key manufacturing units which are critical assets to the company's financial success. You will establish long range plans for equipment reliability and organizational structure to reach these long term goals. You will coordinate daily activities for reliability functions associated with engineering and technical support. In addition, you will directly influence capital projects that are targeted for site improvements. The role combines a manufacturing management function with forward looking objectives to improve overall site performance with a focus on equipment integrity and proactive response. You will be part of the LyondellBasell Channelview Leadership Team and will provide leadership, development, and coaching to direct reports and support sta to achieve business results, create value, and optimize the site. This position reports to the Channelview Maintenance and Reliability Manager, and is one of two Reliability Manager onsite.

A Day in the Life

* Inspire and coach a cross discipline team of engineers, inspectors, and specialist to optimize performance of people and processes; develop and coach people via dialogue to continuously improve knowledge, skills, and ability; holding people accountable; developing successors and talent pools.
* Develops and maintains a strategic organization plan to retain top talent and plan for the site's and company's future talent needs
* Leads integration of reliability function between operating units and key members of reliability leadership team to improve site reliability performance
* Reliability management responsibilities for the Channelview site equipment consistent with corporate Operational Excellence (OE) and Engineering standards
* Provides overall guidance of site long range programs
* Interfaces with a diverse group of domestic customers including manufacturing, project management, turnaround, purchasing and business functions on reliability initiatives and projects
* Enhances and administers a consistent system of measurement geared towards improving the effectiveness of reliability and proactive initiatives

You Bring This Value

* Engineering BS degree (preferably ME or EE) with a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a progressively more responsible positions in petrochemical or refining process operations or in lieu of degree, 15 years' experience.
* Previous people leader and/or management experience is required.
* Demonstrated leadership ability through prior experience in management assignments and strong interpersonal skills.
* Knowledgeable in broad technical areas such as electrical equipment, instrumentation and analyzers, rotating equipment and fixed equipment
* Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and with external suppliers
* Working knowledge and understanding of Maintenance and Operations Work Process (MOWP) and other maintenance work processes preferred


Preferred Qualifications
* ME or EE Engineering BS degree preferred
* Knowledge of budgeting and return on investment justification process/analysis
