HVAC Project Mechanic Apprentice (un)

What you will do

Apprentices shall perform all pneumatic control systems and mechanical equipment service and all other work coming under the labor agreement assigned by the Employer, limited only by their capabilities as determined by the Employer, at the respective apprentice rate of pay, and shall perform all assigned work under the direction of the Employer. Troubleshoots and resolves problems. Responds to basic warranty calls. Keeps JCI, contractors, and the customer informed of job progress and issues as needed.

Qualifications Required:

Work primarily in Lake Butler, FL; occasional travel to other job sites

High School Diploma or equivalent

Familiarity with HVAC equipment

EPA Refrigeration certification a plus

The ability to perform general building maintenance

Self-starter with ability to work independently

Willingness to supplement on-the-job training with training provided through the apprenticeship program

Good verbal and written communication skills

Current Driver's License required

Schedule Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

PPE and uniforms provided; must be worn throughout the workday

Background screening and drug testing required due to facility access

Complete Safety Analysis on provided mobile device before each task

Physically capable of performing essential duties: climbing, lifting, and carrying materials up to 75 lbs.

Ability and desire to learn all aspects of the trade, including welding, soldering, brazing, threaded pipe, and heavy rigging

Must maintain professionalism when working independently or in customer-facing environments

Interest in Mechanical Welding, Pipefitting, and HVAC systems; on-the-job training provided

Pay Range: $17.87 - $26.65 hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
