Cape Fox Concentric Methods is accepting resumes for a part-time Lead Physical Fitness Coordinator to serve as the senior technical authority for on-site Physical Fitness Exams for the United States Postal Inspection Service (USPIS) in Washington, DC. In this role you will set the bar for protocol excellence, conduct quality audits and ride-alongs, maintain and train to SOPs, and steward the official instructional materials.You will also mentor Physical Fitness Coordinators and Fitness Test Administrators, oversee two-person validation practices, and ensure results are submitted within 48-72 hours. Assignments are event-based with periodic field travel and planned audit cycles. The deal candidates bring a degree in exercise science or equivalent experience, a nationally recognized fitness credential (for example ACSM, NSCA, or ACE), and a demonstrable track record leading standardized fitness testing programs with strong QA discipline and communication skills. This position is contingent upon contract award.

The total hourly pay for this non-exempt position is. $45.44 for up to 40 hours per week.This rate represents the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. In addition, for eligible positions we offer a variety of benefits including specified holidays, paid sick and vacation leave, and 401K with company match. Responsibilities:



  • Plan and execute a quarterly audit schedule covering a representative mix of metro and rural events; complete observation checklists and publish corrective actions.
  • Perform spot checks of timing, distance measurement, lap counts, rest intervals, and two-person validation artifacts.
  • Sample results packages for completeness, signatures, version control, and 48-72 hour submission compliance.
  • Own the PFE technical SOPs (ID verification, warm-up, event sequencing, form standards, timing/counting rules, safety thresholds, and documentation).
  • Issue redlines after incidents, policy updates, or audit findings; maintain a change log and distribution list.
  • Develop and deliver initial and refresher training for Site Leads, FTAs, and EMTs; conduct ride-along coaching sessions and proficiency checks.
  • Maintain calibration routines for timers, measuring devices, cones, and field layouts; verify calibration logs during audits
  • Script, produce, and maintain the official PFE instructional video that demonstrates the required steps and procedures for push-ups, sit-ups, and the 1.5-mile run, including safety advisories and stop criteria.
  • Coordinate with IT to host the video in Microsoft 365 GCC and the learning module; ensure versioning and view tracking for compliance.
  • Participate in post-incident reviews; convert lessons learned into SOP updates, coaching points, and micro-drills.
  • Publish seasonal risk bulletins (heat, cold, air quality) and site-setup advisories tied to environmental conditions.
  • Monitor scoring accuracy trends, no-show and reschedule patterns, and defect rates; recommend targeted interventions.
  • Provide a quarterly Quality Performance Summary to the Program Manager and Director of Operations.
  • Audit Plan and Reports: 4 site-audit cycles with written findings and closures.
  • SOP Maintenance: Up to 3 minor updates and 1 major annual refresh with tracked changes.
  • Training: 2 live refreshers, quarterly skills checks, and onboarding support as needed.
  • Instructional Video: 1 full production with mid-year update if protocol changes.
  • Quarterly Quality Performance Summary: 4 reports with metrics and corrective actions.
  • Adheres to privacy and data minimization practices; handles PII only as required for identity verification and reporting.
  • Maintains impartial administration and avoids conflicts of interest; signs annual confidentiality and COI attestations.
  • Keeps all required certifications current; not scheduled for field work while any required credential is lapsed.
