*Patient Experience Navigator* *Location:* Washington, DC (On-site)
*Schedule:* Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM *Contract Duration:* 3 months (with potential for extension or permanent conversion) *About the Role* We are seeking a *Patient Experience Navigator* to join a high-volume healthcare environment and play a key role in supporting patient relations and service excellence. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting, has strong customer service skills, and is passionate about creating a positive experience for patients and families. *Responsibilities* * Coordinate administrative functions for the Patient Relations and Decedent Affairs departments, including calendar management, meeting minutes, supply ordering, and expense tracking. * Serve as the first point of contact for patient inquiries via phone, email, and walk-ins; triage compliments, complaints, and grievances to the appropriate staff. * Prepare weekly patient advocacy analytics reports and assist with compliance tracking. * Organize family meetings, follow-up letters, and ensure timely resolution of patient feedback in accordance with state and federal regulations. * Process paperwork related to decedent affairs and liaise with the Medical Examiner's Office; maintain accurate data in hospital systems. * Support HR-related activities such as file maintenance and occupational health compliance. * Assist with budget preparation and monitoring for designated cost centers. * Act as a departmental liaison with internal teams and external vendors. * Deliver exceptional customer service and foster a culture of empathy and patient-centered care. *Required Skills & Qualifications* * *Education:* Bachelor's degree preferred (Healthcare, Hospitality, Marketing, Communications, or Business). Associate degree considered with relevant experience. * *Experience:* * Strong background in customer service and conflict resolution. * Comfort handling high-volume calls in a healthcare setting. * Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems (Epic experience preferred). * Excellent communication skills, empathy, and ability to manage sensitive situations professionally. * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for data entry and documentation. *Nice-to-Have Skills* * Experience with RL Solutions or similar complaint management systems. * Previous healthcare or patient-facing experience. * IDX training (or willingness to learn). *What's in It for You* * Opportunity to work with one of the largest healthcare organizations in the region. * Gain valuable experience in patient relations and service excellence. * Metro-accessible location with shuttle service; parking available for a monthly fee. * Monday-Friday schedule, no nights or weekends. * Potential for future opportunities within the organization. *Compliance Requirements* * background check, drug screening, and medical clearances (MMR, Varicella, TB, Flu).
