Job Description: The Managing Director, Tax Transformation Go-To-Market (GTM) will play a pivotal leadership role in advancing Crowe's tax transformation strategy. This individual will collaborate with partners and senior leaders to develop, enhance, and execute the go-to-market approach for Crowe's tax transformation service offerings-integrating tax operations, process automation, and technology-enabled solutions to deliver measurable client value and firm growth. This role combines strategic market collaboration, delivery enablement, and innovation leadership. The successful candidate will contribute to shaping Crowe's market position in technology-enabled tax services while deepening alignment between internal transformation capabilities and external client demand. Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Tax Transformation team members, Tax Partners, and other leaders to advance the Tax Transformation market strategy and ensure alignment with Crowe's broader Tax, Consulting, and Technology initiatives. Contribute to the design and execution of market strategies that expand client relationships and strengthen Crowe's presence in the tax transformation space. Support pursuit efforts and business development activities, including proposal strategy, client presentations, and measurable growth outcomes. Help translate internal transformation assets and methodologies into scalable, client-ready service offerings. Contribute to the development of pricing models, delivery playbooks, and marketing collateral for Tax Transformation offerings. Support the development of frameworks and governance structures that ensure consistent, high-quality delivery of transformation engagements. Partner with global delivery teams to enhance operational scalability and efficiency. Promote continuous improvement through automation, data management, and cross-functional collaboration. Mentor and develop high-performing teams; foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence. Partner with other managing directors and partners across service lines to align client pursuits and market strategies. Serve as a visible ambassador of Crowe's transformation strategy internally and externally.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field; advanced degree (MPAcc, MST, or MBA) preferred. Active CPA license or eligibility (CPA preferred). 12+ years of progressive experience in large corporate tax departments and/or public accounting, with proven expertise in tax transformation, operations, and process optimization. Strong record of leading or supporting large-scale global process transformation, including automation, data integration, and policy standardization. Demonstrated success working across global teams and managing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives. Proven ability to build strong relationships across departments such as Finance, Technology, and Tax, both internally and externally. Skilled communicator with the ability to translate technical transformation concepts into strategic business outcomes. Recognized for mentoring, developing, and motivating high-performing teams across geographies. Strategic thinker with hands-on operational insight and an entrepreneurial mindset suitable for a growing, evolving practice. Domestic and limited international travel required (approximately 20-30%).

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $132,000.00 - $351,000.00 per year.
