Description
Our Power Systems Engineer II (Model Engineering) will help guide the effort to collect information from our transmission owners and market participants to build the data models for MISO's systems that run, protect, and plan the future of the electric grid. You will be part of an experienced and diverse team foundational to achieving MISO's core vision of being the most reliable, value-creating RTO and play a crucial role in setting the direction for the future of the Market Model building process. As a Power Systems Engineer II (Model Engineering), you will also have the opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects at MISO to implement a Model Management System, upgrade our Energy Management System, improve the Day-Ahead and Real-Time Market System, and incorporate Distributed Energy Resources into the MISO planning, operations, and market systems. Lastly, as a Power Systems Engineer II (Model Engineering), you will be able to apply your technical skills, interpersonal skills, and knowledge of power systems to satisfy our many customers, both internal and external to MISO. The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $91,000-$116,000 USD annually. Base salary range for this position is included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, and qualifications/experience. Position is also eligible for an annual bonus if individual performance and company objectives are met.
