INTERNSHIP: AI Cloud Software Engineer January - June 2026

Role Description & Responsibilities

Our Dassault Systemes SIMULIA R&D Cloud Team is excited to announce we have a hybrid internship opportunity available in our Johnston, RI office!

As an intern within the SIMULIA R&D Cloud Team, you contribute to delivering best-in-class simulation applications and technologies for simulating Product, Nature and Life in the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform and on the Cloud. You will have the opportunity to experience the full software development lifecycle, while remaining focused upon a certain aspect of this cycle to gain in-depth knowledge.

• Applying knowledge gained in computer science/Engineering courses to real-world problems.

• Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution to solve problems.

• Develop and deliver a React + WebUX-based UI integrated with the 3DX platform.

• Incorporate AI-driven features into the UI, such as:

• Predictive recommendations for frequently used packages.

• Automated suggestions based on user interaction patterns and historical usage.

• Intelligent search functionality to quickly locate relevant packages or features.

• Integrate machine learning models to enhance package tracking, usage analytics, and user engagement.

• Collaborate with AI/ML teams to implement backend AI functionalities within the widget.

Qualifications

• Recently graduated or currently enrolled in a Bacheloris or Master's Degree Program in Computer Science or equivalent experience

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Developers, QA, and external stakeholders, to iteratively enhance functionality.

• Developing scripts to automate routine tasks.

• Designing the software system, describing the specifications in technical terms

• Coding, compiling and running unit tests according to Implement processes

• Keeping abreast of the latest technological developments, understanding the requirements of our development partners, knowing about competing products

This is a paid 6-month internship with a flexible start in January 2025. Your work schedule can be tailored to balance both your internship and your academic schedule. This position is based at the Dassault Systemes Simulia Corp.is office located at 1301 Atwood Ave, Johnston, RI
