The Central Sterile Manager 1 applies managerial skills and technical experience to oversee sterile processing department operations. Determines optimal deployment of personnel and resources to achieve quality objectives. Ensures compliance with internal policy and external regulations. The Central Sterile Manager 1 key responsibilities include: Managing the daily operations in central sterile processing; Manages and oversees subordinate supervisors and staff providing expertise, technical consultation, training, and problem resolution; Ensures adherence to sterile processing policies, procedures and regulatory requirements; Participates in continuous quality and safety assessment programs and process improvement initiatives; Participates in the establishment of quality standards for sterilization, decontamination, and disposal of equipment and supplies; Ensures processes conform to regulatory standards, organizational policies and protocols; Identifies potential opportunities for process improvement and presents recommendations to senior managers. Analyzes supply levels to ensure cost efficiency, item expiration compliance and appropriate stock; Assists with cost analysis; Responsible for human resources management including recruitment, training, performance management and evaluation, corrective action and retention; Responsible for system functionality, quality control, regulatory compliance, and resource utilization; Promotes staff development and supports educational strategies that develop competency; Keeps up to date with advances in field; Maintains effective communication with client departments to identify needs, improve efficiency, and support the delivery of high-quality patient care; Others duties as assigned. This position will support our Jacobs, Koman, and Shiley SPD locations. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $97,200 - $182,000 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $46.55 - $87.16 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). | |
