- This position reports to the Head of AV Production and will be an IC: responsible for AV postproduction on assigned titles - ensuring that each element of a video project is completed on time and on budget in the most effective and efficient manner possible.
- The AV Producer will serve as the "go-to" resource on their titles for all video specific projects and must possess domain experience in the AV production space. This includes a deep understanding of multiple production, media management, and postproduction pipelines.
- Most important being creative offline AV editorial pipelines, cutting from dailies, editorial post-production, visual effects, motion graphic asset development and animation, and AV Online workflows within finishing audio mixing, color, conform, mastering, QC and delivery.
Typical Task Breakdown:
- Manage all operational aspects of video projects (teasers, trailers, tv spots, promos, sizzles, etc.) from inception to completion on assigned titles. This role will work very closely with Creative Directors and Campaign Managers to ensure that the video deliverables fall within the overall campaign timeline and budget.
- This role manages external creative offline asset development vendors, as well as the internal workflows and pipelines to drive the assets from inception through delivery.
- Create schedules, determine resources, estimate time, track costs and project completion requirements.
- Obtain necessary approvals and communicate plans to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure team establishes and maintains appropriate processes, procedures, forms and job tracking to keep video deliverables on time and on budget.
- Anticipate and effectively mitigate problems; and consistently communicate to stakeholders about updates on progress, relevant delays or issues and budget implications.
- Work closely with external title post-production teams and internal Studios Post-Production team to determine footage availability in order to manage stakeholder expectations.
- Fluent in AV formats with an understanding of the fundamentals of asset management, in-theater deliverables (DCP), servicing, and trafficking.
- Work collaboratively and proactively with internal teams and external agencies to assess project requirements and ensure efficient development and delivery of video assets per the marketing plan.
- Determine scope of work and obtain estimates from external agency partners.
- Provide regular feedback to the marketing and creative teams to establish project priorities and communicate milestones and deadlines.
- Work closely with Creative Director and communicate creative feedback to agencies throughout the life of a project.
- Pull clips for publicity and social and release final files in varying codes.
- Experience with network clearances, music clearances, talent approvals, and international routing.
- Experience managing and delivering large volumes of video assets to external partners is a must.
- This role may require night/weekend/holiday work.
Preferred Skills:
- International Marketing Series or Theatrical Experience.
- Understanding of show postproduction workflows and storage needs.
- Must be able to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Detailed knowledge of workflow within a marketing, production company, or editorial house.
- Expert organizational skills and the ability to prioritize, monitor, and manage workload.
- Comprehensive understanding of AV and static image specs and file formats.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of EPK/BTS Camera workflows and formats.
- Experience working in an environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent writing, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
- Ability to stay calm during chaos is essential to this role.
- Ready to jump into any situation, assess and take control.
- Video editing experience & experience managing external agencies for live action productions a BIG plus.
