Job Description




As a Security Officer - Healthcare Floor Patrol in Clairton, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your regular patrols and high visibility play a key role in supporting a sense of order and providing exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report any irregularities.
  • Document observations and incidents as required by Allied Universal and client site protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with visitors, staff, and/or patients, providing assistance as needed while maintaining a visible presence.
  • Follow all site-specific instructions and protocols, adapting to the unique environment and needs of a healthcare location.
  • Participate in ongoing training and drills to remain prepared for a variety of emergency and/or security-related situations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Hospital vaccination requirements must be met.
  • Assignment may require work in hospital morgue environments.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Assignment may require the ability to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
