Job Title: Design EngineerReporting To: Manager Staff, SDG EngineeringWork Schedule: Hybrid - Orrville, OH Moog Space and Defense Group is the premier motion and flow control solutions provider for the following markets: satellites, human-rated space vehicles, launch vehicles, missiles, military ground vehicles, and naval vessels. Emerging areas of focus include metal additive manufacturing, blockchain for supply chain, sensor integration, and propulsion test facilities. Moog in Orrville OH is a global designer and manufacturer of high performance hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical (EM) actuators for nuclear submarines and aircraft carriers, as well as for some of the most demanding industrial applications. Our naval products comply with stringent qualification requirements such as shock, vibration, low acoustic signature, and seawater corrosion resistance, while our industrial products are often designed comply with API, ATEX, or other customer specific requirements. Many of our applications are mission or safety critical. This position is for a Design Engineer in the Design Engineering group within Moog Orrville. In this role, you will play a key role in the conceptual design, analysis, development and qualification of hardware used on military and commercial vehicles and equipment. The products of Moog are generally unique for each customer and therefore most new applications require a special, tailored design. Currently, most work for the Design Engineering group in Orrville is in the development of hydraulic actuator equipment for US Navy nuclear submarines. This position offers opportunities to use a broad range of skills. Our site is relatively small, and you'll be expected to utilize multiple engineering and interpersonal skillsets, and you will also have the ability to tap into the resources and expertise of many other talented engineers in Orrville and across other Moog sites nationwide. Salary Range Transparency: Orrville, OH $75,000.00-$120,000.00 AnnuallySalary Range Disclaimer The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
