Summary:

The Supervisor of Food Services is responsible for overseeing the day to day functions of the Food Services Department including planning, preparing and serving meals and cleaning/sanitation and safe food handling. This is a team oriented kitchen where the Supervisor will assume a leadership position and support LincolnHealth's goal to make each meal a positive dining experience for the patients. Coordinates and supervises all ordering, scheduling and Food Services Team Members.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: Serv Safe certification required within 1 year of hire.
  3. Experience: Experience in food preparation in an institutional environment preferred. Previous management/leadership experiences preferred.
  4. Knowledge of food service practices.
  5. Knowledge of infection control procedures, sanitation procedures, and HACCP procedures.
  6. Knowledge of quality control practices in food services.
  7. Ability to establish and maintain good working relations with employees in all areas of the facility.
  8. Ability to lift equipment and food supplies, extensive walking, standing, bending, carrying, etc.
