Job Summary:
Provides all aspects of project construction readiness, work planning,communications,and management reportingfor thetimelycompletion of transmission line construction projects.

Essential Functions:




  • Perform construction readiness reviews for thetimelytransition from a conceptual development plan to construction.






  • Develop project construction readiness implementation plansincludingreadiness analysis,readiness activities,and readiness reporting.






  • Perform activity mapping and task identification reviews with stakeholders, including the use of transmission system development plans, GIS data systems, aerial photography, and facility maps.






  • Work closely with various project stakeholders toidentifydesired outcomes, project deliverables, and risk impacts.






  • Meet, asappropriate, with project team members todetermineproject scopes of work and schedules.






  • Work closely with the Business Analysts on project budgets and work estimates.






  • Build andmaintainproject schedules usingOracle Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project Professionalsoftware.






  • Perform field inspections as necessary to ensure on-time performance of task schedules.






  • Manage project forecasting andmonitorpre-construction activities, prepare readiness reports, andestablishmetrics to ensuretimelywork progress.






  • Analyze monthly schedule progress deviations anddeterminecritical path exceptions.






  • Keep management informed on project readiness status by preparing reports, making presentations, interpreting information, and making recommendations asrequired.






  • Other duties asdeterminedbyManagerto support division goals andobjectives.





Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree required. Preferable to have a degree in Engineering, Business, Business Management,Project Management,Engineering Management,Construction Management,Industrial Management,Operations Management, Supply Chain Management,Computer Science,or Technologyisrequired.


Experience:
Aminimum ofeight(8) years of applicable work experience inproject scheduling, construction management, or construction operations in a corporate or electric utility environment.

AMaster'sdegree in a business, operations, or construction field may be substituted for one year of experience. A Ph.D. degree in a business, operations, or construction field may be substituted for up to anadditionalyear of experience.
