Position Overview

We are seeking an exceptional Director of Budget & Analytics to join our Finance Division leadership team. This strategic role reports directly to the Vice President of Finance and is responsible for leading the aggregation, tracking, analysis, and dissemination of critical financial information in support of finance and strategic planning across our health system.

As a key Finance Division leader, you will oversee three critical teams:

  • Decision Support Team
  • Financial Planning & Analytics Team
  • Budget and Productivity Team

This position serves as a vital resource and consultant to Director-level and above management, as well as medical leadership, providing expertise in financial analytics, data mining, and decision support to drive organizational excellence.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Financial Planning
  • Prepare the annual budget for submission to the counties and Fulton & DeKalb Hospital Authority (FDHA)
  • Develop long-term forecasts in support of strategic initiatives and long-range planning
  • Create accurate pro formas and financial models aligned with the organization's overall strategic plan
  • Develop and maintain system-wide rolling forecast functions in addition to long-range capital and operational plans
Analytics & Decision Support
  • Lead analytics and business plan development for capital projects, including ROI, NPV, and payback analysis
  • Conduct lookback analyses of capital projects and investments
  • Direct contribution margin analytics and service line analytics
  • Identify and report trends, potential business/service line opportunities, and make recommendations for action
  • Direct the preparation of internal and external financial and analytical reports
Operational Leadership
  • Establish productivity targets in support of the CEO Council
  • Prepare for and lead the Position Requisition Review Committee
  • Prepare statistics in support of departmental performance reviews
  • Complete financial surveys as required by state, federal, and local agencies
  • Support and analyze monthly reporting and close processes
  • Maintain financial data, track service performance, and oversee production and maintenance of productivity cycle and systems
  • Conduct market analyses and financial analyses as needed by organizational decision makers
Team Leadership
  • Build and lead a high-performing team of Finance associates
  • Coach and develop managers and analysts, providing ongoing feedback to individuals
  • Ensure the assimilation and growth of team capabilities to support high-quality, accurate data analytics
Required Qualifications Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare Management, or related field
Experience
  • Eight (8) or more years of job-related experience including financial planning and budgeting
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in leadership at the manager level or higher
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Business, Healthcare Management, or related field
