Description & Requirements
The Federal Tax Specialty LIFO team is dedicated to providing specialized inventory costing and valuation services, specifically utilizing the Last-In, First-Out (LIFO) method, to ensure clients of Forvis Mazars are adhering to US federal tax regulations. This position will include a steady and fast-paced workload and an opportunity to communicate directly with clients and internal assurance and tax teams. Their goal is to help clients minimize risk, enhance compliance, and identify meaningful opportunities for tax savings.
What You Will Do:
  • Assess information received from clients and identify the appropriate pieces of information required for calculations
  • Perform calculations to appropriately value inventory.
  • Communicate timely and effectively with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be organized and enjoy working in the details.
  • Proactively manage a high-volume workload to meet internal due dates while delivering an accurate product.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Excellent attention to details.
  • Self-starter and proactive mind-set.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or related field.
  • Industry experience in auto dealerships.
  • 1 or more years of experience in inventory accounting.
