 Merchandising Specialist, Kids Apparel - Remote 
  This is a 12-month, full-time (40 hours/week), remote contract role based in New York, NY. Summary
  This role blends consumer insights, market trends, and financial acumen to deliver strong, brand-aligned product assortments for the Kids apparel category. The position plays a key role in driving regional product strategy and investment decisions while partnering cross-functionally to ensure cohesive execution and commercial success.  4+ years of experience in merchandising within apparel, retail, or consumer goods 
 
 Passion for product strategy, consumer insights, and market-driven design 
 
 Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data to guide decisions 
 
 Proficient in merchandising systems, data tools, and planning platforms 
 
 Familiar with market analysis, trend forecasting, and category line planning 
 
 Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional partners such as planning, allocation, and licensing teams 
 
 Able to work independently, managing multiple priorities and deadlines 
 
 Flexible and adaptable to shifting timelines and business needs 
 
 Excellent communication skills with high attention to detail 
 
 Proactive and strategic thinker who takes initiative to drive business outcomes 
  
  
 
 
Job Description
  In this role, you will develop and present the regional merchandising strategy for the Kids apparel category, aligning with overall brand vision and financial objectives. You'll partner with planning, allocation, and licensing teams to ensure a cohesive product strategy and successful execution across markets. This includes leading seasonal line planning, balancing assortments across fits, styles, price points, and regional needs. You'll analyze past performance, monitor industry trends, and apply consumer insights to inform product decisions. Additionally, you'll maintain merchandising systems to ensure data accuracy and support regular business review meetings by sharing relevant findings and recommendations. Education and Experience 
 
  
 
 Bachelor's degree in merchandising, marketing, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 
 
 Background in product strategy, retail merchandising, or consumer insights 
 
 Experience within the apparel or lifestyle goods industry preferred

 This opportunity is remote but based in New York, NY 
 
 The pay for this W-2 position ranges from $35.00 - $38.46 per hour
