Sign-On Bonus: Up to $15,000


Overview

STS Technical Services is hiring experienced Senior A&P Helicopter Mechanics in Kansas City, Missouri. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the nation's leading air medical transport organizations-a team dedicated to safety, reliability, and service excellence.

In this role, you'll perform hands-on maintenance and inspections on helicopters supporting life-saving missions across the region. If you take pride in your work, value precision, and want to make a real impact, we want to hear from you.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily maintenance and inspections to ensure aircraft airworthiness
  • Communicate with Lead Mechanics to coordinate scheduling, technical needs, and manpower requirements
  • Maintain assigned aircraft and manage base inventory levels for spare parts and tooling
  • Certify work performed in accordance with FAA, manufacturer, and company standards
  • Utilize company maintenance systems for tracking, compliance, and documentation
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely maintenance completion
  • Maintain company-provided tools and ensure proper calibration schedules are met
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings
  • Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience as a Certified Mechanic
  • Basic communication and computer skills
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
  • Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check

Preferred Skills (Roving Maintenance Team)

  • Sheet metal repair and/or avionics troubleshooting experience
  • Flexibility to travel frequently with short notice
  • Ability to work night shifts as required

Location Requirements

  • Must live within one hour or 60 miles (whichever is greater) of the assigned base
  • Travel between bases may be required
